Although unusual, a placenta casting has become more normal since we completed our first one 5 years ago. Following a viral post and a book cover we receive lots of enquiries for the placenta casting.
This Produces a very 'different' piece of art that can be completed in your choice of colours and framed. Interesting piece as many parents have never even seen their placenta.
How we do it:
You would need to ask for your placenta following the birth of your baby. This is not unusual and most NHS trusts are completely willing to support you.
We would need your placenta within 7 days of the birth. This must be stored in a container of your choice (eg: clean ice cream tub) and in the fridge until you can deliver it to us at the Binley studio.
